Robot Welding Operator/Panasonic Welder

Job Description

DCL International Inc. is a leader in the emissions control marketplace; we are looking for a team oriented Robot Welding Operator/Panasonic & Fanuc Welder to join our team. Responsibilities include: using the welding Robots-PANASONIC & FANUC, creating programs, in process adjustments, setting up parts and components in a jig and other fixtures by load/unload and operating and maintaining a single robot weld cell. Main responsibilities include: developing welding programs and set right welding parameters as per blue prints. Training will be provided.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Education: Completion of high school, Some college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Ensure that quality standards are understood and being adhered
  • Ensure that company understand all applicable customer requirements
  • Assist Quality Assurance Manager with Customer Quality Issues when required
  • Train and implement new quality initiatives as defined
  • Work with divisions to identify and reduce non-value added cost of quality opportunities
  • Prepare Control Plan, FMEA as required
  • Review of 8D, 5 why for complete root cause analysis and robust permanent corrective actions and read across activity when applicable

DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Post-secondary education in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
  • Minimum 3 years working experience in various forms of metal forming, joining/welding environment
  • Must understand quality fundamentals, root cause analysis, FMEA/Control Plans
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ASME BPVC
  • Proficiency in written and oral communications
  • Computer literate, experience with email, spreadsheet and word processing software
  • Able to lift and move objects up to 15 kilograms

Our Ideal Candidate

We are a fast-paced, highly motivated team of individuals, looking for a Coating Technician to join our growing team in the Coating department.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Be able to polish to a mold finish
  • Work closely with the other departments to meet the specific scheduling needs of our customers.
  • The ability to work independently in a timely and organized fashion to achieve scheduled deadlines and commitments
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment, while adhering to DCL’s policies and procedures
  • Ability to manage and maintain a sufficient level of working supplies to efficiently do your job on a day to basis, as well as to ensure all related equipment is operating in a safe and functioning manner
  • Participate in the overall cleanliness of the coating centre and will help out with all other general coating activities as required

DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALITIES

  • 2 to 3 years of coating experience
  • High School diploma, or equivalent
  • Able to communicate in English effectively (read, write, verbal)
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing operations and control systems
  • Self-starter who is able to achieve customer satisfaction by meeting commitments and taking accountability; being willing to cross-train to gain additional skills and use job knowledge; and taking a common-sense approach to problem-solving

Job Description

We are a fast-paced, highly motivated team of individuals, looking for a Coating Technician to join our growing team in the Coating department.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Cleans grease and dirt from product, using materials, such as lacquer thinner, turpentine, soap, and water.
  • Applies masking tape over parts and areas that are not to be coated.
  • Selects and mixes coating liquid according to specifications, using a mechanical mixer.
  • Sprays surfaces of manufactured products with the protective material, such as paint using a spray gun.
  • Coats areas inaccessible to hand sprayer, using a brush.
  • Cleans spraying equipment and brushes with solvent.
  • Performs preventive maintenance of paint spraying equipment.
  • Replaces filter as needed.
  • Keeps the entire booth free of dirt and overspray by wiping down the floor and walls before or after every job.
  • Checks the booth’s pressure daily with a manometer, which will indicate when the intake filters are overloaded.
  • Keeps the filter-change schedule updated.

  • High school diploma
  • Ability to work from verbal and/or written instructions with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of standard safety procedures is required.
