Robot Welding Operator/Panasonic Welder

Job Description

DCL International Inc. is a leader in the emissions control marketplace; we are looking for a team oriented Robot Welding Operator/Panasonic & Fanuc Welder to join our team. Responsibilities include: using the welding Robots-PANASONIC & FANUC, creating programs, in process adjustments, setting up parts and components in a jig and other fixtures by load/unload and operating and maintaining a single robot weld cell. Main responsibilities include: developing welding programs and set right welding parameters as per blue prints. Training will be provided.

Account Coordinator

Position Responsibilities

  • Ownership and control of the customer order system from order receipt to product fulfillment
  • Coordinate document flow, such as work orders, order confirmations and delivery schedules
  • Support an international sales team to ensure the integrity and accuracy of input orders, changes, credits and maintenance of customer account information
  • Coordinate with the production department to actively manage and execute production as planned and to reschedule production in the event of unexpected changes

Production Manager

Our Ideal Candidate

We are a fast-paced, highly motivated team of individuals, looking for a Production Manager to join our growing team. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Production Manager is responsible for managing the manufacturing and delivery of catalytic products at an optimum level with lowest cost and with the cooperation and support of other departments, including but not limited to: Sales, QA, Maintenance, Human Resources, Engineering and R&D.

Position Responsibilities

Management Systems

  • Ensure environmental standards are met and maintained.
  • Compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
  • Providing necessary resources to support all DCL policies and practices.

Operation Control

  • Supervises and oversees the activities of the shop with respect to production, cost and quality of product, raw material inventory management and delivery fulfillment.
  • Liaise with the Operations Manager to ensure the proper allocation of all resources to meet customer needs through: optimal forecasting, production planning, production scheduling and ordering of raw materials, etc.
  • Coordinate with the maintenance department regarding the scheduling of plant shutdowns and supporting preventative maintenance programs.
  • Support Operations Manager in ensuring that employee communication meetings are regularly conducted in order for all production workers to be kept informed of business activities, goals, objectives and current performance.
  • Liaise with HR department for the purpose of implementation of appropriate policy on manpower planning, training and development and employee and labour relations, etc.
  • Participate in the selection of equipment, plant layout, and material handling.
  • Prepare and maintain various reports as required by Management.
  • Perform such duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Operations Manage

Budget and Cost control

  • Prepare and monitor the plant budgets and operate within these parameters.
  • Maintain a constant search for more economical operating methods.
  • Supervise the utilization of personnel and control direct labour costs and expenditures.
  • Utilize appropriate techniques for inventory control and batching of coating to optimize costs and efficiencies.
  • Monitor and report variances from budgeted plans, if any

Education Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Chemical engineering
  • A working knowledge of MRP/ERP, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access)

Skills & Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of previous experience in a similar role is required, with preference given to experience in a manufacturing facility.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills that allow him/her to quickly step into new situations and develop the teamwork to solve problems.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills that enable him/her to assess, quantify, and resolve operational issues and trends.
  • Superior people skills that encourage the development of employees through regular performance reviews, feedback, holding self and others accountable, and provides appropriate & effective recognition.

Environmental Health and Safety Manager

We are a fast-paced, highly motivated team of individuals, looking for an Environmental Health & Safety Coordinator to join our growing team. The EHS Coordinator is responsible for inspecting and evaluating the environment, equipment and processes in working areas to ensure compliance with government safety regulations and industry standards. Their chief goal is to protect the employees, customers and the environment. They identify potential chemical and mechanical hazards They recommend changes to protect workers, and educate employees on how to prevent health problems through the use of safety training programs. They also investigate accidents to identify their causes and find ways to prevent them in the future.

Position Responsibilities

  • Establishes written safety policies, procedures and instructions, reviews and updates them on an annual basis to ensure compliance with OHSA, WSIB, and company policies.
  • Monitors new and revised legislation and remains current with the latest safety requirements
  • Ensures that Health, Safety & Environmental audits are conducted regularly and recommendations from action plans are followed
  • Maintains employee training records; coordinates and conducts Health, Safety & Environmental training, and implements measures to ensure the effectiveness of such training; coordinates all training certifications/re-certifications (i.e. cranes, hoists, forklifts, first aid, etc.); conducts all training relevant to ISO 14001 implementation standard
  • Provide services to ensure compliance with Environmental Legislation and lead continuous improvement activities to reduce company's environmental impact
  • Primary responsibility for WSIB claims management, while working with Human Resources
  • Provides support and resources regarding the Investigation of incidents including Workplace Violence Harassment.
  • Development and management of Emergency plans, including fire drills
  • Provides consultation regarding discipline recommendations and implementation for safety infractions
  • Manage all aspects of WSIB- claims management.
  • Assists Human Resources Manager and employee’s supervisor with modified work, light duties, work hardening, step up and Return-To-Work programs for injured/sick workers under the modified Work Program
  • Ensures that the Company’s Safety Rules, Plant Standards and Environmental Guidelines are being followed by employees as well as contractors, sub-contractors and other outside parties
  • Identify Health and Safety Improvements. Interpret and provide advice to management, supervisors, and employees.
  • Respond to Health and Safety inquiries/concerns and provide Health and Safety technical support to Supervisors, Managers and employees.
  • Provide direction to and act as a resources to JHSC, managing meeting minutes, schedule of meetings, inspections, certified reps., etc. Facilitate and chair the Managers/Supervisors Health and Safety meetings and bring forward common or high level issues to be resolved.
  • Responsible to protect own health and safety by working in compliance with established safe work practices and procedures

Education Experience

  • Post Secondary Education, with Occupational Health and Safety accreditation (certificate, diploma) or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years related experience in a manufacturing setting

Skills & Qualifications

  • Knowledge of relevant regulations, codes, legislative requirements relating to OHSA, CSA, WSIA, and Environmental Protection Act.

QA Manager

Position Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the organization’s Quality Management System conforms to customer, internal, ISO 9001, and regulatory/legal requirements.
  • Leadership in the Quality Auditing process, supply chain audits, process audits and ISO audits including managing the audit team. Must have a clear understanding of the compliance requirements, collecting objective evidence and writing up audit reports to ensure the quality management system is operating effectively.
  • Development and management of corrective action, process improvement and auditing projects.
  • Development and management of Document Control processes including managing documents, forms and work instructions.
  • Working with other departments and assisting them with the creation and maintenance of their departmental policies and procedures in conformance with the Quality Management System.
  • Responsible for solving problems where standardization should exist but may not be operating effectively. Using process mapping techniques, lean or Six Sigma process improvement methodology to reduce waste.
  • Supplier reviews, corrective action reviews, process improvement teams, audits, customer visits and strategy discussions.
  • The “Go To” person for answers about quality matters including product specifications, supplier requirements, testing, inspections, part verification, equipment calibration, corrective actions, non-conformances and benchmarking.
  • Responsible for setting annual goals and targets for his/her team; monitoring and mentoring as required and conducting annual evaluation of individual performance.
  • Coordinate design control, process flow, control plans, first article inspection, and review & sign off actions.
  • Verify investigation findings and corrective actions for quality issues to ensure root cause analysis and permanent action

Education Experience

  • A bachelor’s degree In engineering or related field is required
  • CQM or CQE designation would be an asset; however, equivalent education and/or experience are acceptable.

Skills & Qualifications

  • 5 yrs + QA management/supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of ISO auditing, APQP, PPAP, Control Plans, SPC, FMEA, design of experiments, gage control, inspection methods, blueprint reading & geometrical dimensioning and tolerancing.
  • Proven ability to lead a diverse team of technicians.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with people at all levels.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, problem solving and management skills.
  • Experience with MS-Office (especially Excel, Word).
