Tuesday, September 09, 2008

Concord, Ontario, September 8, 2008 – DCL International Inc. is pleased to announce the California Air Resources Board (CARB) has verified its MINE-X SOOTFILTER® diesel particulate filter (DPF) system as a Level 3 Plus Diesel Emission Control Strategy (DECS) for stationary prime and emergency standby generators.

To achieve the Level 3 Plus status, MINE-X SOOTFILTER® DPF system was demonstrated to reduce diesel particulate matter (PM) by over 85 % and meet California’s January 2009 limit for NO2 emissions.

“We have a great team at DCL, making outstanding emission control products. I’d like to thank the ARB staff for their comprehensive review and recognition of our DPF system as Level 3 Plus verified device,” said Joe Aleixo, Manager of Technical Services. “We feel this product can play an important role in addressing the needs of the emission control market for diesel generators in California.”

The MINE-X SOOTFILTER® is a passively regenerated diesel particulate filter system and includes a backpressure and temperature monitor. The DPF system can be packaged in a variety of configurations and is scalable to meet most engine sizes.
