Coating Technician

DCL designs manufactures and sells advanced engineering technologies worldwide to reduce emissions and to produce clean energy. DCL supplies to world-leading engine manufacturers, original equipment manufacturers, and aftermarket retrofit.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Working in a manufacturing environment
  • Daily activities will include material handling, machine operation, measuring, data entry, and general maintenance
  • Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs., and performing repetitive motion tasks.
  • Organize and maintain cleanliness of equipment and work area in a professional and safe manner

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Machine Operator

DCL International Inc. is a well-established and fast growing business, and we are looking for a Machine Operator! PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Knowledge of operating production machinery including winding lines, loading/unloading uncoilers with material, rollers and automatic welding units
  • Read and interpret shop manufacturing drawings
  • Load and unload the tooling and set up for various types of work with varying quantities
  • Adhere to Health & Safety and quality standards
  • Ensure the goods are manufactured and processed on time
  • Work overtime in case of any delays
  • Work on light machinery

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • High School Diploma or completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
  • 1-3 years of related experience
  • Strong mechanical and technical aptitude

  • Weld products according to specified blueprints and procedures
  • Build products from blueprints and ensure internal quality measures are applied
  • Conduct initial inspections of product to ensure adherence to safety and quality
  • Organize and maintain cleanliness of equipment and work area in a professional and safe manner

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • High School Diploma and/or Welder Trade certification (an asset)
  • 3-5 years of welding and fitting experience
  • Proficiency with MIG and TIG welding of thin gauge stainless steel
  • Must be able to pass TIG and MIG test
  • Ability to use lifting devices and jib crane
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, complete repetitive tasks and stand for extended periods of time

We are currently seeking to hire a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our growing and well established company.

Job Description

  • Work as part of the Engineering group for Structural design of Emission Control Product, Silencer, Stack & Working Platform.
  • Collect information from our sales team and customers
  • Design products based of customers’ specifications
  • 3D modeling, drawings and calculations from concept to manufacturing detail.
  • Manufacturing process design, Tooling/Fixture design, Generate Layer by layer BOM.
  • Perform Finite Element Analysis & Computational fluid dynamicswhere required.
  • Perform Acoustic & Vibration calculation where required.
  • Communicate and follow up with different departments.
  • Continuous improvement, trouble shooting

Educational Requirements

  • Degree of Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university
  • Efficient with 3D modeling in SolidWorks, 2D drawings in AutoCAD
  • Familiar with GD & T, BOM structure
  • Efficient with Microsoft Office

Additional Requirements

  • 5 years of related working experience preferred
  • Effective communication skills, both written and oral
  • Good team player
  • Enthusiastic and positive
  • Experience on Pressure vessel & Heat exchanger design will be a great asset.

  • Stainless steel associated components fitting for engine manufacturing
  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and specifications to execute fit-up
  • Fit-up process equipment system
  • Perform constructability review to identify any issue that might prevent proper fabrication
  • Dismantle and rebuild repairs and system as required
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawing specifications and technical manuals
  • Complete paperwork associated with weld numbers, weld maps, and other QA related documents as needed

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • High School Diploma and/or Welder Trade Certification
  • Minimum 3 years experience as a Fitter / Welder
  • Proficiency in making custom fabrications using MIG welding techniques
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, complete repetitive tasks and stand for extended periods of time
  • Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to use power tools, drill grinder, and ability to use custom jigs for fitting process
