Cost Accountant

DCL International Inc. is currently looking to further build our team with the addition of an Intermediate Accountant. Our ideal candidate will be a strong financial accountant with a cost accounting background.

We manufacture a broad range of Diesel Particulate Filters (DPFs), Diesel Oxidation Catalysts (DOCs) and Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCRs) for post-2007, medium to heavy-duty trucks and buses. Our aftermarket DPFs and Catalysts are available for all major manufacturers and provide equal or greater performance to OEM parts without the added cost of core charges.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Control monthly inventory counts and annual audit of inventory including WIP counts and physical inventory functions.
  • Ensure established policies and procedures as related to the physical inventory are followed and enforced and recommend changes when necessary.
  • Analyze product costing and recommend changes.
  • Prepare, analyze and report monthly financial statements and gross margin analysis by product and customer groups.
  • Determine and analyze direct costs of business activity, such as raw material purchases, inventory and labor, highlight possible improvements and risks when necessary
  • Prepare monthly detailed financial statements and report to Management.
  • Complete monthly financial analysis package for management, detailing financial results.
  • Review and complete all month end requirements including journal entries, job cost reviews, reports, accruals, provisions, allowances, depreciation, payroll, insurance & other entries in a timely manner.
  • Perform bank reconciliation on a monthly basis.
  • Review monthly HST Returns to CRA.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • 3-5 years’ experience in a cost accounting role (preferably in a manufacturing company)
  • University Degree or College Diploma with a focus on Accounting and Finance; CPA designation an asset.
  • Strong system skills, proficient in Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong communication and time management skills
  • Understand job costing, standard costing, BOM structures, manufacturing process flows, vertical integration and supply chain
  • Experience with SYSPRO ERP an asset
  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent team player

MIG / TIG Welder

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Weld products according to specified blueprints and procedures

Electrical Control Systems Engineer

Electrical / Control Systems Engineer

GraniteFuel Engineering, is a global leader in providing bio-gas conditioning solutions such as Siloxane Removal, H2S removal, CO2 removal and Dehydration, and has successfully delivered and commissioned many systems across Canada and United States.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and build electrical control panels and systems, provide electrical control solutions and wiring, develop PLC and HMI programming on various equipment and process application
  • Make wiring diagram in AutoCAD / Solidworks Electrical
  • Wiring electrical devices and control panel
  • Electrical wiring to meet the hazardous area regulations (Class I, Div. 1 and Div. 2)
  • PLC / HMI troubleshooting and programming (Allen Bradley RSLogix 5000, Panel View / Factory Talk), Emmerson Delta V controller programming
  • Experience with IC components such as pressure transmitter, mass flow meter, thermocouple etc.
  • Demonstrate good understanding of applicable electrical, mechanical and software engineering skills
  • Travelling and on-site commissioning / trouble shooting

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree with Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering background
  • 3+ years of experience in control systems design, PLC programming, installation and testing
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, complete repetitive tasks and stand for extended periods of time
  • Familiar with electrical codes in Canada and Untied States
  • A solid knowledge and understanding of how the wiring of electrical devices should meet the requirements for the hazardous area Class I, Division 1 and 2
  • Experience with automation, process control, Class 1, Division 1 and 2 requirements and different architectures such as Allen – Bradley and Siemens PLC’s, Emmerson DCS an asset

We are currently seeking to hire a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our growing and well established company.

Job Description

  • Work as part of the Engineering group for Structural design of Emission Control Product, Silencer, Stack & Working Platform.
  • Collect information from our sales team and customers
  • Design products based of customers’ specifications
  • 3D modeling, drawings and calculations from concept to manufacturing detail.
  • Manufacturing process design, Tooling/Fixture design, Generate Layer by layer BOM.
  • Perform Finite Element Analysis & Computational fluid dynamicswhere required.
  • Perform Acoustic & Vibration calculation where required.
  • Communicate and follow up with different departments.
  • Continuous improvement, trouble shooting

Educational Requirements

  • Degree of Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university
  • Efficient with 3D modeling in SolidWorks, 2D drawings in AutoCAD
  • Familiar with GD & T, BOM structure
  • Efficient with Microsoft Office

Additional Requirements

  • 5 years of related working experience preferred
  • Effective communication skills, both written and oral

  • Fit-up process equipment system

  • Dismantle and rebuild repairs and system as required
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawing specifications and technical manuals
  • Complete paperwork associated with weld numbers, weld maps, and other QA related documents as needed

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee required inspections of electrical systems to ensure compliance with Ontario Electrical Standards Act
  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations
  • Use formulas from the Electrical Code to determine sizes of cables needed when sizes of motors and the lengths of cable runs are known
  • Install, repair and maintain electrical systems and equipment
  • Install, examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, lighting fixtures and other electrical components as needed
  • Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance
  • Work with production staff to co-ordinate repairs to equipment and discuss work orders with supervisors
  • Take measurements using high voltage testing equipment
  • Update and log electrical changes
  • Execute minor mechanical repairs
  • Maintain and install any electrical work required for plants and office buildings
  • Maintain spares, inventory and workstation in a safe, clean and professional manner
  • Coordinate with all plant services and contractors as required
  • Daily report using a computerized system

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Technical School Training, (completion of an Apprenticeship Program, an asset)
  • Licensed Electrician (309A or 442A)
  • Working knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC’s using SLC 500 and Control Logics
  • Strong troubleshooting skills (diagnose, debug, repair industrial electrical equipment and electrical controls)

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Fabricate parts as per drawing specifications and manufacturing production requirements (e.g: cones using spinning lathe machines, bent parts using press brake machines)
  • Read and interpret blueprints
  • Operate and set up machines to perform repetitive machining operations for manufacturing cones of different sizes
  • Operate press brake machinery (e.g: Coast One 24 tons servo-electric direct ball screw driven in order to achieve bent parts requirements)
  • Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g: micrometers, calipers)
  • Able to understand and operate various machineries such as cold saw, automatic punch tube machine, automatic tube end forming machine, and punch press
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience
  • Forklift License is considered an asset
