Mechanical Design Engineer

GraniteFuel Engineering Inc, a subsidiary of the DCL Technology Group, is experiencing rapid growth and requires a Mechanical Design Engineer within our design and service group.

GraniteFuel Engineering provides equipment and service for the sustainable energy industry; designing and developing innovative fuel conditioning systems for industrial engines fueled by wellhead, landfill or digester gas. GraniteFuel's unique fuel conditions solutions are custom designed for each application to provide consistent and efficient reduction of fuel contaminants. GraniteFuel systems have been developed to outlast any other solution on the market while maintaining low operating expenses to provide long-term, cost-effective fuel conditioning.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • 3D modelling and drawing (general layout, P&ID) for pipe skid with SolidWorks.
  • Select pipe fittings, hardware, valves, pumps, blowers, Heat Exchangers and create Bill of Material (BOM).
  • Collaborate and supervise pipe skid fabrication and assembling in shop.
  • Travel internationally (mainly USA - when travelling permits) to service and commission new and existing systems.
  • Must be able to work independently as well as in an office/team environment.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Engineering Degree from a recognized university (Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering or other related).
  • Minimum 3-5 years Design experience in Canada/USA.
  • Proficient in CAD Software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and capable to produce 3D models and drawings (layouts/BOM, P&ID, etc).
  • Basic knowledge of PLC and AC/DC circuits.
  • Hands on skills to install and adjust instrumentations such as solenoid valves, pressure transmitter, thermal couple, flow meter.
  • Strong communication skills to make service schedule and maintain working relationships with customers and contractors.
  • Maintain clear records of service and write technical reports, as well as, submit improvements of equipment and methods of work.
  • Valid and clean 'G' license is required.
  • Proficient in MS Office, Word, Excel and MMS software.
  • O.A.C.E.T.T. or P.Eng certification considered an asset.

TIG / MIG Welder

DCL International Inc. is a well-established and fast-growing business, and we are looking for a Welder – MIG & TIG! DCL designs manufactures and sells advanced engineering technologies worldwide to reduce emissions and to produce clean energy. DCL supplies to world-leading engine manufacturers, original equipment manufacturers, and aftermarket retrofit.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Weld products according to specified blueprints and procedures
  • Build products from blueprints and ensure internal quality measures are applied
  • Conduct initial inspections of product to ensure adherence to safety and quality
  • Organize and maintain cleanliness of equipment and work area in a professional and safe manner

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • High School Diploma and/or Welder Trade certification (an asset)
  • 3-5 years of welding and fitting experience
  • Proficiency with MIG and TIG welding of thin gauge stainless steel
  • Must be able to pass TIG and MIG test
  • Ability to use lifting devices and jib crane
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, complete repetitive tasks and stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work under pressure, multi-task, organize deadlines and priorities
  • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, and technical manuals
  • Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving and time-management skills
  • Strong team player
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Welder / Fitter

DCL International Inc. is a global leader in the manufacturing of advanced emission control technologies, and we are looking for Welder / Fitter.

DCL designs manufacture and sell advanced engineering technologies worldwide to reduce emissions and to produce clean energy. DCL supplies to world-leading engine manufacturers, original equipment manufacturers, and aftermarket retrofit.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assemble/weld stainless steel associated components fitting for engine manufacturing.
  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and specifications to execute fit-up.
  • Fit-up process equipment system.
  • Perform constructability review to identify any issue that might prevent proper fabrication.
  • Dismantle and rebuild repairs and system as required.
  • Complete paperwork associated with weld number, weld maps and other QA related documents as needed.
  • Conduct initial inspection of product to ensure adherence to safety and quality.
  • Organize and maintain cleanliness of equipment and work area in a professional and safe manner.
  • Perform other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (welding school an asset)
  • 3-5 years experience welding, (fitting background is required)
  • Familiarity with various welding methods (e.g. tack welding)
  • Must be able to pass TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) and MIG (Metal Inert Gas) test
  • Ability to use a variety of hand and measurement tools
  • Strong knowledge and experience with MIG and TIG welding
  • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, and technical manuals
  • Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving and time-management skills
  • Strong team player and the ability to work independently
  • Ability to lift 50lbs.
