Accounting Manager

DCL International Inc. is a well-established and fast growing business, and we are looking for a Accounting Manager!

DCL designs, manufactures and sells advanced engineering technologies worldwide to reduce emissions and to produce clean energy. DCL supplies to world-leading engine manufacturers, original equipment manufacturers, and aftermarket retrofit.

Reporting directly to the Controller, the Accounting Manager will be the key person responsible for the preparation and analysis of monthly financial data for DCL.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepared monthly financial statements.
  • Review and complete all month end closing journal entries, including accruals, provisions, allowances, depreciation, payroll, insurance & other entries in a timely manner.
  • Perform bank reconciliation on monthly basis.
  • Examine the monthly profit & loss & balance sheet for errors.
  • Provide details of variances from the budget and prior year.
  • Report financial results to management and shareholders.
  • Prepare cash flow statement.
  • Prepare bank margin calculation and reporting.
  • Develop annual budget and forecasting processes.
  • Oversee payroll, A/R, A/P, Credit and Collections.
  • Evaluate customer risks and assign credits to customers.
  • Monitor the aggregate amount of credit approvals.
  • Provide daily treasury reports, cash flow forecasts and dso & dpo analyses.
  • Review monthly HST Returns to CRA
  • Ensure established accounting policies and procedures as related to the financial accounting are followed and enforced.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.

*QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
*

  • 4-5 years experience in a financial accounting role (preferably in a manufacturing company).
  • University Degree or College Diploma with focus on Accounting and Finance.
  • CPA designation.
  • Strong system skills, proficient in Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong communication and time management skills.
  • Understand financial reporting & analyses, financial closing, budgeting & forecasting ,intercompany transactions, fixed assets, balance sheet accounts reconciliations, bank reconciliations, sales taxes, Strong knowledge and experience in canadian acccounting standards for private enterprises (ASPE)
  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent team player and goal driven.

Cost Accountant

DCL International Inc. is a global leader in the manufacturing of advanced emission control technologies, is looking for an Accountant for our American Division. Our ideal candidate will be a strong financial accounting withcost accountaning background!

DCL designs manufacture and sell advanced engineering technologies worldwide to reduce emissions and to produce clean energy. DCL supplies to world-leading engine manufacturers, original equipment manufacturers, and aftermarket retrofit.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Control monthly inventory counts and annual audit of inventory including WIP counts and physical inventory functions.
  • Ensure established policies and procedures as related to the physical inventory are followed and enforced and recommend changes when necessary.
  • Responsible for job costing for project-based business and job cost reporting.
  • Verify actual costing with standard costing to confirm prices.
  • Analyze product costing and recommend changes.
  • Implement and apply cost policies and procedures.
  • Prepare, analyze and report monthly financial statements and gross margin analysis by product and customer groups.
  • Determine and analyze direct costs of business activity, such as raw material purchases, inventory and labor, highlight possible improvements and risks when necessary
  • Prepare monthly detailed financial statements and report to Management.
  • Complete monthly financial analysis package for management, detailing financial results.
  • Review and complete all month end requirements including journal entries, job cost reviews, reports, accruals, provisions, allowances, depreciation, payroll, insurance & other entries in a timely manner.
  • Perform bank reconciliation on monthly basis.
  • Prepare sales tax returns to IRS.
  • Assist plant managers to develop new labor and overhead rates as well as yield assumptions for budget and forecasting purposes.
  • Perform other duties as necessary
  • Position located in Concord with Travel to Houston, Texas required approximately 20% of the time.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • 3-5 years’ experience in a cost accounting role (preferably in a manufacturing company)
  • University Degree or College Diploma with a focus on Accounting and Finance; CPA designation or CPA student would be preferred.
  • Strong system skills, proficient in Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong communication and time management skills
  • Understand job costing, standard costing, BOM structures, manufacturing process flows, vertical integration and supply chain
  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent team player

TIG Welder

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Weld products according to specified blueprints and procedures
  • Build products from blueprints and ensure internal quality measures are applied
  • Conduct initial inspections of product to ensure adherence to safety and quality
  • Organize and maintain cleanliness of equipment and work area in a professional and safe manner

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • High School Diploma and/or Welder Trade certification (an asset)
  • 3-5 years of welding and fitting experience
  • Proficiency with MIG and TIG welding of thin gauge stainless steel and GTAW
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment, operate drill presses, determine weld ability of materials, select filler rods
  • Must be able to pass TIG and MIG test
  • Ability to use lifting devices and jib crane
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, complete repetitive tasks and stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work under pressure, multi-task, organize deadlines and priorities

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Knowledge of operating production machinery including winding lines, loading/unloading uncoilers with material, rollers and automatic welding units
  • Read and interpret shop manufacturing drawings
  • Load and unload the tooling and set up for various types of work with varying quantities
  • Adhere to Health & Safety and quality standards
  • Ensure the goods are manufactured and processed on time
  • Work overtime in case of any delays
  • Work on light machinery

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • High School Diploma or completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
  • 1-3 years of related experience
  • Strong mechanical and technical aptitude

Maintenance Electrician

Maintenance Electrician

DCL International Inc. is a well-established and fast-growing business, and we are looking for a Maintenance Electrician! DCL designs, manufactures and sells advanced engineering technologies worldwide to reduce emissions and to produce clean energy. DCL supplies to world-leading engine manufacturers, original equipment manufacturers, and aftermarket retrofit.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee required inspections of electrical systems to ensure compliance with Ontario Electrical Standards Act
  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations
  • Use formulas from the Electrical Code to determine sizes of cables needed when sizes of motors and the lengths of cable runs are known
  • Install, repair and maintain electrical systems and equipment
  • Install, examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, lighting fixtures and other electrical components as needed
  • Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance
  • Work with production staff to co-ordinate repairs to equipment and discuss work orders with supervisors
  • Take measurements using high voltage testing equipment
  • Update and log electrical changes
  • Execute minor mechanical repairs
  • Maintain and install any electrical work required for plants and office buildings
  • Maintain spares, inventory and workstation in a safe, clean and professional manner
  • Coordinate with all plant services and contractors as required
  • Daily report using a computerized system

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Technical School Training, (completion of an Apprenticeship Program, an asset)
  • Licensed Electrician (309A or 442A)
  • Working knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC’s using SLC 500 and Control Logics
  • Strong troubleshooting skills (diagnose, debug, repair industrial electrical equipment and electrical controls)
  • Excellent team player
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure, multi-task, and organize deadlines and priorities
